James F. Allison, Retired Farmer, Buried Monday<\/b><\/p>\n
Funeral services for James Finis Allison<\/strong>, 93-year-old pioneer citizen and retired farmer, were conducted Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Rev. William H. Moss<\/strong>, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiated and burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery.\u00a0 Mr. Allison died at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs.\u00a0 H. A. King<\/strong>, on Seitz street Sunday morning at 5:50 o’clock. He had been ill some two or three months. A native of Warren county, the deceased was born February 20, 1856. He was a son of James Allison<\/strong> and Caroline Thaxton Allison<\/strong> and was married to the former Miss Esther Miller<\/strong>, who preceded him in death several years ago. Mr. Allison was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.\u00a0 A pioneer citizen of the county, Mr. Allison was a grandson of John Thaxton<\/strong>, early settler of Warren county and a Revolutionary War soldier who located at Mt. Zion about 1810. The deceased is survived by one son, Hervy J. Allison<\/strong> of McMinnville and a granddaughter.\u00a0 Another son, Poindexter Allison<\/strong>, died several months ago.<\/p>\n James F.
