Rites Today For S.J. Alexander<\/b><\/p>\n
Funeral services for Sam J. Alexander<\/strong>, 72, retired farmer and salesman, will be held this (Friday) afternoon at 3 o’clock at the chapel of High Funeral Home. Officiating will be Allen Phy<\/strong>, minister of Central Church of Christ, and burial will be in Mt. View cemetery.\u00a0 Mr. Alexander died at his home on West End avenue Tuesday afternoon at 3:15 o’clock. He had been ill for a week.\u00a0 Samuel Joseph Alexander was a native of Cannon county, born August 27, 1879. His parents were Jefferson Alexander<\/strong> and Jane Hawkins Alexander<\/strong> and he was married to Miss Nettie Jane Davis<\/strong>.\u00a0 She survives.\u00a0 Mr. Alexander for a number of years operated\u00a0 a farm on Sparta Road and in recent years had been engaged as a salesman. He was a member of the Church of Christ.\u00a0 He is survived by two sons, J.P. Alexander<\/strong>, McMinnville, and S.L. Alexander<\/strong>, Glendale, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Irving Myers<\/strong>, McMinnville, and Miss Marie Alexander<\/strong>, Glendale, Calif. Also a brother, I.P. Alexander<\/strong>, Campbellsville, Ky., and one sister, Mrs. Josie Jones<\/strong>, Okemah, Okla.\u00a0 Arrangements are in charge of High’s.<\/p>\n Rites Today For S.J.
