(d. 1953)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Minister&#8217;s Father Dies In DeKalb<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Columbus W. Adkins<\/strong>, 81, died at his home in Dowelltown, DeKalb county, Wednesday of last week, following a lingering illness. He was the father of <strong>Rev. H.C. Adkins<\/strong>, Baptist mission worker and minister of McMinnville.\u00a0 Funeral services were held at Dowelltown Thursday and burial was in Whorton Springs cemetery.\u00a0 Mr. Adkins was a\u00a0 lifelong resident of DeKalb county and had lived in Whorton Springs for about 30 years.\u00a0 He is survived by his widow,<strong> Mrs. Rebecca Williams Adkins<\/strong>; two sons, <strong>Rev. Adkins<\/strong> and <strong>E. F.
