Custard Slaw3/4 cup vinegar 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine 3/4 cup sugar 2 eggs, beaten 3/4 cup milk
Cut
cabbage and stir in the vinegar, salt and pepper. Cook milk, sugar
and butter over medium heat until hot, stirring constantly. MIXTURE
WILL BURN IF NOT CAREFUL. Pour a small amount over beaten eggs and
add to the hot mixture and over medium heat, cook until thick, stirring
constantly.
Recipe has been my favorite for over 70 years.
