Pineapple or Apple Frying Pan Cake2 tbsp. butter 1 cup brown sugar sliced pineapple or apple nuts, cherries if desired Melt butter in iron skillet. Set off fire. Add sugar, pineapple, nuts, etc. in bottom of pan. Cover with the following 1 egg cake. 1 egg cake:
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder pinch salt 1/2 cup sugar 1.2 cup milk 1 egg flavoring 3 tbsp. shortening, melted Sift together dry ingredients. Beat together liquid ingredients. Mix the two together, using pineapple juice for liquid. Submitted by Fred Smoot
