Pork Fruit Cake1/2# salt pork, chopped fine 1/2 pint boiling water 1/4 cup molasses 4 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp. soda 1 cup sugar 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 # raisins 1/4# citron 1/2# currants 1/2 tsp. each of the following: cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, mace, allspice 1# nuts, optional Pour boiling water over pork and let cool. Add molasses to pork and water, then sugar. Sift flour and dry ingredients. Dredge fruit with flour and beat in last. Bake 1-1 1/4 hours. Submitted by Fred Smoot
