Roane County TNGenWeb has incorporated the defunct “Roots of Roane” Web site formerly maintained by the late Patti Roberts MacDonald before her passing in 2010.

Mrs. MacDonald had transcribed a newspaper announcement, published in 2001, about a presentation on the topic of African Americans’ 20th Century experiences in the Scarboro community of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
