Corporal Earwood Buried Here Sunday

T/5 Milus Ray Earwood, age 24, was given a military burial with members of Tennessee State Guard, Company "M" as pallbearers Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Munford Cemetery. Funeral Services were conducted by Dr. R. L. Jetton, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Covington, at Maley Funeral Home.
Corporal Earwood was injured on Oct. 2, in an automobile wreck near Albuquerque, N.M., while on active duty and died Oct. 10, in Breen Hospital, Santa Fe, N. M. He entered the Army Mar. 15, 1945 and received his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. In May he was transferred to Santa Fe where he was a special engineer on the atomic bomb project.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Glenn Earwood, two sons, Kenneth Wayne and Ray; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Earwood, three sisters and one brother.
