LOCKS DOG IN BARN & STEALS CHICKENS--The large dairy barn of I.H.MALONE half mile south of Covington was used as a prison for a watch dog belonging to J.J.ROBBINS.The bird dog is usually left to sleep in the hen house as a protection against theives.A total of 23 prime hens were stolen.The next night,a raid was made on the Pink MARSHALL roast on Mason Road,stealing 22 hens.

CAR THEIF SENTENCED--L.A.WATSON,at large,who was recently apprehended by Traffic Officer HARBOUR here,while in possession of a stolen car,has been sentenced to serve three years in the Federal Penitentiary at Fort Leavenworth,Kansas.Officer HARBOUR received official notice and congratulation this week.

CYCLONE HUMS IN COVINGTON’S EAR--The outer edge of a cyclone hit Covington Monday afternoon about 1 o’clock.As far as material damage,it was of very slight nature.The stack at the local compress was the only thing in Covington which suffered to any extent.It was totally demolished by the wind.It hit hard in Pulaski,TN.Eighteen casualties were reported in Tennessee,four in Pulaski;one each in Franklin,Lewisburg and Charleston,and others in nearby towns.Alabama and Georgia were hardest hit.

LUCILLE LOWENHAUPHT APPEARING IN RIPLEY--Lucille Lowenhaupht,talented daughter of Mr.& Mrs.Ben Lowenhaupht,of this city,has been asked by the Woman’s Missionary Society of the Methodist Church of Ripley,to take part in a mistrel which that organization is sponsoring.Miss Lucille shows much ability in her dance and song skits and will be a valuable addition to the cast.

VICIOUS POLICE DOG ATTACKS CHILDREN--A young police dog,owned by Raymond BASKIN,of the Charleston vicinity,would probably have killed three small children had they not been rescued.Mr.BASKIN’s two children and a child of Esq.John RICHARDSON,were playing near the Richardson residence,when the dog suddenly attacked them.Hearing their screams,Miss Martha Rhetta RICHARDSON,of Memphis,who was visiting in the Richardson home,ran to their rescue.The dog leaped upon her and knocked her to the ground.Hamilton BYRD,who was in a field near by,heard the outcries and ran to the rescue,beating the dog off before they were seriously hurt.Through kicking and hitting at the dog,the three children and Miss Richardson had prevented it’s biting them deeply before being rescued by Mr.Byrd.The dog is said to have bitten the Baskin children before,although apparently through desire to keep them away from him rather than an actual attack.The dog has not been killed.

BRIGHTON SENIORS ARE GIVEN ENTERTAINMENT--Mr.& Mrs.G.C.PHILLIPS entertained most charmingly Tuesday night in honor of their daughter,Miss Doris PHILLIPS,a member of the senior class of the Brighton High School.The guest list included the members of the class and the teachers of the school.

MUNFORD FARMER DIES--George FULGHUM of near Munford,died suddenly of paralysis at his home Monday night.He was born in NC,but had made his home in Tipton County for a number of years.He was a member of the Campground Methodist Church.Funeral services will be held this afternoon and interment at Kerrville.Surviving are his widow;three sons; Howard,Albert and G.D. FULGHUM; one daughter,Mrs.Paul CROUCH,all of Munford vicinity.One brother in NC also survives.

TAPS SOUNDED FOR CHESTER TROBAUGH--Taps for this world’s career and a reville for the hereafter were sounded for John Chester TROBAUGH,World War Veteran Sunday morning at 6:30 o’clock at his residence at Atoka. Rev.C.B.BUTTS,pastor of the Salem Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church conducted funeral services Monday at the church.Interment with Masonic honors at Smith Cemetery,Troy,TN, Monday afternoon.He was a member of the 51st Infantry,which was active in the World War,suffered a number of exposures during his service from which he never fully recovered.He was injured in the Alsace Loraine and Argonne sectors.The effects of the gas was the contributing cause of his death.Surviving are his widow,Mrs.Louise SMITH TROBAUGH; two sons,Billy and Jesse; one daughter,Sue Boyd;his mother,Mrs.Cora TROBAUGH,of Memphis;one sister,Mrs.E.L.MATTHEWS.

JAIL HORSE THIEF--Woodrow NELSON,17-year-old step-son of Jailer W.C.ROBERTS was arrested Tuesday on a warrant sworn out by Sheriff Jim T.SCOTT.The boy was charged with theft of a horse from James GRANDBERRY,colored.Nelson was seen on the horse and when Grandberry reported his loss,it was found in a pasture near Nelson’s home

DIES SUDDENLY IN MEMPHIS--Lee BEAVER,48,well-known citizen of the lower part of Tipton County and for many years a resident of Old Beaver,died suddenly in his home in Memphis last Monday.Funeral services were conducted by Rev.J.D.WHITE,of Brighton,at the Beaver Church Tuesday afternoon.Interment occurred in the Ravencroft Cemetery.Surviving Mr.Beaver are his widow and two daughters,of Memphis; four brothers,Les, Gordon, Solon,and J.D.BEAVER,all of this county;and two sisters,Mrs.Willie STEET,of MS,and Mrs.Geneva WATSON,of Dyersburg.

CARD OF THANKS--We wish to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the many kind deeds and words of sympathy extended us during the long illness and at the time of the death of our daughter and sister,Tempie Lee.May the Lord bless you all.J.H.FAULK; Father,brothers and sisters.

TIPTON NOTES--The Hustling Sewing Circle met last Wednesday with Mrs.N.E.MATTHEWS and it is needless to say that the 50 ladies present enjoyed the day very much indeed.The Circle presented Mrs.Matthews with a “Dutch Girl”quilt,each one having made a block and put her name on it.The quilt was a token of love and remembrance from the Circle,which went a step further and quilted it.Mrs.Matthews expects to leave Tipton in May.

CELEBRATES BIRTHDAYS--Mrs.Will McINTOSH gave a most delightful dinner Monday to celebrate the birthday of her son,James McINTOSH and of Mrs.J.L.LUTTRELL,of Memphis,they being friends and their birthdays coming very close together.Also attending were Mrs.J.R.DELK, Miss Margie DELK, Douglas DELK, all of this city and Mrs.Luttrell’s children were present.

BURLISON NOTES--BORN to Mr.& Mrs.Royce BURLISON,recently,a daughter.

Mrs.Maybell YARBRO,of Charleston,was the week-end guest of her parents,Mr.& Mrs.Norman SMITH.

Mr.Jeff MAXWELL,of the Oak Grove community,who had been seriously ill with pneumonia,is reported better.

YOUNG GIRL DIED LAST SATURDAY MORNING--Temple Lee,14-year-old daughter of Henry FAULK,of this vicinity,died at her home last Saturday morning.Her death followed an illness of some months,culminating a failure in health which began about the time of the death of her mother last year.Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church of this city,interment in Munford Cemetery.Members of the young men’s intermediate departments of the church served as pallbearers.Temple Lee,until prevented by illness,had been a bright and active worker in school,4-H Club work and in the Sunday school.

THE SICK THIS WEEK--Gene Becker,son of Mr.& Mrs.Eugene HADLEY has been sick with influenza.

Mr.C.J. HINKLE has been from his business this week,suffering from influenza.

Hon.John TIPTON has been confined to his home with influenza.

Judge R.B.BAPTIST has been out several days with influenza.

Mr.W.S.MAYES is in a Memphis hospital receiving treatment,preparing for a probable operation.

Mr.Carl McMULLEN,of Tipton,has received treatment this week in the Ear,Eye,& Nose Clinic,Memphis.

Little Billy,son of Mr.& Mrs.Billy HOGAN,of the Hogan’s Store vicinity,is recovering fron influenza.

Mr.C.H.EARWOOD,of this vicinity,has been a patient at the Ear,Eye,& Nose Clinic,Memphis the past week.

Mr.Alex SOMERVILLE,formerly of this city,is reported very ill in a Memphis hospital,following an operation for appendicities.

Superintendent of Schools A.H.GRANTHAM is suffering a mild attack of pneumonia.

Mr.John POINDEXTER,of Mason,has been ill in a Memphis hospital.An absessed tooth poisoned his system and for a time his condition was regarded as very serious.

-Rebecca RICHARDSON,daughter of Esq.& Mrs.John Richardson of Charleston is recovering from an appendicities operation.

Sam WOODBERRY,2-year-old son of Mr.& Mrs.J.H.Woodberry is recovering from pneumonia.

PERSONAL--Mrs.Will LOWENHAUPHT was the week-end guest of her daughter,Mrs.James JENKINS,of Ripley.

Mr.Wells HARGETT,of Alamo,is visiting his sister,Mrs.J.H.COLE,of this vicinity.

Mrs.Frank LAWSON,of Ripley,is visiting her daughter,Mrs.Lester CHAMBERLAIN,of this city.

Mr.& Mrs.James Sheilds MATTHEWS,Jr.,of Jackson,attended the STRONG-MARSHALL nuptials in this city Saturday,remaining over the week-end,the guests of Mrs.MATTHEWS parents,Mr.& Mrs.G.H.FLOWERS,Sr.

Mrs.W.W.SPENCER and three children,of Medina,were guests of her mother,Mrs.Ed GATLIN in this vicinity this week.

Mrs.T.J.WILSON has recently spent several days in Dyersburg with her father,J.A.REEVES,who has been ill.She was accompanied by her daughter,Dorothy Ann.

ELIGIBLE FOR TRIP--Miss Marie TATLOCK,who has been a member of the gardening and canning clubs of the 4-H Club of Tipton County for the past three years won the award of being the most outstanding girl club member in West Tennessee and by this rating is awarded a trip to the national camp at Washington,D.C.,that is held every summer for the members of the 4-H Clubs.

STRONG_MARSHALL--Another brilliant wedding was added to several of the season when Miss Alice MARSHALL,daughter of J.P.Marshall of this city became the bride of Thomas STRONG,of Memphis last Saturday.Dr.R.L.JETTON,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of this city officiating.Miss Martha BAPTIST was maid of honor.

WILSON’S CHAPEL NOTES--Mr.Tom FAULK celebrated his 49th birthday with a dinner last Sunday.Will BRAMMER, Mr.& Mrs.Charles WHITE,Miss Etta Earl SMITH, Mr.Arnold SMITH, Mr.& Mrs.Ed BRAMMER & Family, Mrs.Fred BRAMMER, Mrs.Rob BRAMMER and daughter,Nelle,were on the guest list.

LOCALS--BORN to Mr.& Mrs.Will SHOAF of this city,Sunday,a daughter.BORN to Mr.& Mrs.A.K.CRAVEN,of this city,Saturday,a daughter,Sarah Jean.

Miss Kate CHAPMAN,daughter of Mr.& Mrs.B.W.Chapman,of this city,has left for Memphis,where she will enter General Hospital for a full course in graduate nursing.Miss CHAPMAN has been a member of the local telephone exchange for some time.

SCENE OF GRUDGE SHOOTING--Babe COOPER,of the  Charleston vicinity is in jail here as a result of an old grudge which culminated in a near fatal shooting at that place Wednesday.It is reported that COOPER shot Bud EIBANKS,his brother-in-law in the back with a load of heavy shot as the latter was trying to escape from him.Arrested by Deputy Austin SHOAF, Cooper was brought to Covington to await the outcome of his victim’s injuries.The only statement attributed to him after being locked up here was that there had been trouble between him and his kinsman for a matter of two years.Eubanks was not seriously injured.

OLD WELL CAVES IN--A board well located at the old SHELTON place on Elm Street,now occupied by Dr.E.L.ROPER and family,caved in to a depth of about 20 feet following the severe rains of the week-end.The Roper family had not been aware of the existance of such a well.A small pig fell in the pit left by the cave-in and was lassoed and brought to the surface by a negro servant.Mr.Elbert ROPER dropped a vaulable fountian pen while leaning over the hole,and this was also caught in a noose.

WRITE LAST CHAPTER OF DANDY BANDIT AFFAIR--With the pardon issued to Alda C.SHAW Monday,the final chapter was written in the Dandy Bandit trial held in Covington on change of venue nearly a dozen years ago.Edward KELLEY,Shaw’s partner,and who fled with him,and a confederate named HAMILTON,after the latter had slain a friendly jailor,was pardoned several years ago by Governor Austin PEAY.Hamilton shot himself in Winona,Miss.,when apprehended. The case was tried before Judge R.B.BAPTIST in Covington under a change of venue.Judge Baptist and W.K.ABERNATHY,the attorney general in the case,were among those recommending clemency.The advisory board of pardons and paroles also recommended pardon.The case aroused much interest and the prosecution and Memphis papers so loudly demanding the death penalty,were very caustic in their comment on the jury for giving the bandits only a 20-year sentence.

MAN CRUSHED WHEN FIRE DESTROYS MILL--William FITZPATRICK,sawyer,whose home is in Memphis,was seriously injured Saturday morning at the fire which destroyed the C.L.SHOAF saw-mll at Tabernacle.Joining with other workers and neighbors in fighting the fire,he was standing close by the 60-foot smoke stack when it fell,crushing him beneath it.He was rushed to Memphis in an R.S.MALEY ambulance,Mr.Shoaf accompaning him,and he is still regarded in a very serious condition.Mr.Shoaf had made his last run at the mill Friday and was preparing to move it to his farm,about 1/2 mile east,also on the Covington-Stanton Pike.It is supposed sparks fell and smoldrerd in the sawdust until the fire broke out.Loss was fixed at about $3,000 and it is said there is no insurance.

MAN MISSES BOLT BY FIVE MINUTES--Walter Burt SMITH,of this vicinity,had so narrow an escape from being killed by lightening last Sunday morning that he is still shaken.The bolt of lightening striking the barn on the Smith farm one mile south of Covington on Highway 59,displayed the usual eccentric behavior common to electrical storms.It came suddenly out of the leaden skies about 7 o’clock,killing a yearling Jersy bull,two hogs and some chickens.A short time before the barn was struck,about five minutes,according to Mr.Smith,he had fed his stock,having been in the stall occupied by the bull. Had he been five minutes later in his feeding,he might have been a victim also.

BURIED AT SALEM--George T.FLEMING,76,highly respected churchman and properous farmer of the Idaville community died at his home Saturday afternoon,following a 10-day bout with pneumonia.Funeral services were held at Salem Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Sunday morning by Rev.C.B. BETTS,pastor of the church,assisted by Rev.R.T.KERR.Interment in Salem Cemetery. Born in Mississippi,he came to Tipton County at the age of 17,settling originally near Old Portersville.He later acquired the site of the present Fleming home,where he resided until his death.Mr.Fleming divided his interest between his progressive type of farming and his church.Surviving are five sons and four daughters.Mrs.Fleming passed away in 1914.The sons are:Dr.J.J.FLEMING,of Atoka; Charles P.FLEMING,of Stanton; Prof.Anson FLEMING,of Halls; Walter & Ralston FLEMING who made their home with their father.The daughters are: Mrs.J.E.McDANIEL & Mrs.J.Bryce MOFFATT,both of the Idaville vicinity;and Misses Clara & Mamie V.FLEMING,who lived at the homeplace.

FATHER BURIED LAST SATURDAY--J.J.REEVES,father of Mrs.Travis J.WILSON,of this city,esteemed citizen and churchman of Dyersburg,died at his home in that city Friday morning.Mr.Reeves was born at Troy in Obion County,79 years ago,and made his home there until moving to Dyersburg.He was a son of the late Brown REEVES of Troy.He is survived by his widow,Mrs.Mary Reeves; four daughters,Mrs.L.D.KELLION,of Union City; Mrs.T.J.WILSON,of Covington; Mrs.N.O.WHITE & Mrs.Clifford EASLEY,both of Dyersburg; one brother,Horace REEVES,of California. Short services were held at the residence Saturday afternoon,with church services at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Union City.

DEATH OF A.L.STONE--The old friends of Mr.Louis STONE regretted to learn of his death which occurred at his late home in Shelby County Saturday.He resided in the vicinity of the Pleasant Ridge Church,a few miles south of Bolton.A native of Alabama,he lived for a time in the Macedonia community in Shelby County,but up until two years ago,had resided for 20 years in the Almyra community.Married early in life to Miss Etta CARTER,three children and the widow survive him.His two sons are Montrose STONE,of Shelby County;and Alton STONE,of Brighton;his daughter is Mrs.Lawrence SHERRILL,of Sharon.

GOOD MAN PASSES--Additional comment on the life of G.T.FLEMING,an account of whose death will appear in this paper.His late wife,the former Miss Adalaide FAULKNER,daughter of the late John J.& Mrs.FAULKNER,was a native of Idaville,preceding him to the grave many years.She was a sister of the late W.H.& John S.FAULKNER,leading merchants of Idaville at one time.(rest was praise of a good man.)

EGYPT NOTES--Mr.Lawrence DUNGY was the guest of his father,Mr.Babe DUNGY,last week--Odell JACKSON and Mrs.Burl HUTCHISON are on the sick list this week.

BRIGHTEN NOTES--Miss Grace DURHAM,of Water Valley,Miss.,returned to her home last week after an extended visit to her aunt,Mrs.J.W.TANNER. --Rev.& Mrs.Virgil ROSE of Camden,were guests of his parents,Mr.& Mrs.Henry ROSE last week. --Mrs.Martha BASKIN,of Burlison,who has been attending her mother,Mrs.D.E.TANNER,returned to her home this week.Mrs.TANNER continues to improve from injuries sustained in a fall several weeks ago.

BORN March 16th,to Mr.& Mrs.Eustace HUFFAN,of Detroit,a daughter. --

Mrs.Freda ROSE and children spent Tuesday with her father,Mr.N.H.BOSWELL,who has been quite sick at the home of his nephew,Mr.A.L.TANNER.

Messrs.Will,Olien, & Leroy HINDMAN and Miss Willie B.HINDMAN attended the funeral of an uncle,Mr.Cal TUCKER,of Harrisburg,Ark.,last Sunday.

ATOKA R.F.D. NOTES--BORN to Mr.& Mrs.John RIALES,March 29th,a daughter. --Mrs.R.E.RIALES,Robert and Elmer Lee RIALES were in Memphis Wednesday.They called on Leslie RIALES,who has been confined at St.Joseph’s Hospital in that city since suffering injuries in a wreck last Sunday.

MOVE TO ARKANSAS--Mr.& Mrs.R.H.BOYD have moved to Blytheville,near which city Mr.BOYD will engage in farming this year.They were accompanied by Mrs.Boyd’s sister,Miss Sue JOY,who will make her home with them.Both Miss JOY and Mrs.BOYD are daughters of Mr.& Mrs.R.L.JOY,of this city.

LOCALS--BORN to Mr.& Mrs.Paul FORTNER Easter Sunday morning,a son.--BORN to Mr.& Mrs.Iva RILEY,of Garland,Saturday,March 26th,a daughter.--Mr.Jack ECKFORD will leave during the week-end for Tehula,Miss.,where he will again join his welding unit with the Y.& M.V.Railroad.--Mrs.Edna HICKS and Mrs.Felix GREER sponsored an enjoyable Easter egg hunt for the Sunbeam Band of the First Baptist Church.

YOUNG--KURTS--Mrs.Pattie KURTS,of Jackson,Miss.,announces the marriage of her daughter,Kathryn,to Mr.William S.YOUNG,of Palm Beach,Fla. The wedding took place at high noon in the Calvary Baptist Church of Jackson,Miss.,March 28th, Rev H.M.KING officiating.The bride is the daughter of Mrs.Pattie KURTS & the late George T.KURTS.

OWENS--PARKER--Mr.& Mrs.J.A.PARKER announces the recent marriage of their daughter,Earline,of Memphis,formerly of Covington,to William Howard OWENS,of Capleville.The marriage occurred Monday evening,March 28th,at the home of the ride’s grandfather,W.T.WATKINS of Olive Branch,Miss.The young couple will make their home in Capleville.

THE SICK THIS WEEK--Mr.C.H.EARWOOD,of this vicinity successfully underwent an operation in a Memphis clinic last week.He had been unable to see out of his left eye for two years.A cataract was removed.

YOUNG MOTHER DIES--Mrs.Winnie GRAY,23,wife of Fuller GRAY,of near Rialto,died at her home Sunday morning at 8:30 o’clock.Funeral services were held at Leigh’s Chapel Monday morning by Rev.Homer G.LINDSEY.Besides her husband,Mrs.GRAY is survived by two children and her parents,Mr.& Mrs.John Will LESLEY,of the Rialto vicinity.

CRAIG’S CHAPEL NOTES--BORN to Mr.& Mrs.Roy ARTHUR,Tuesday,March 22nd,a son. --Mr.& Mrs.J.W.OWEN visited the latter’s parents,Mr.& Mrs.Henry FEEZOR and while there attended the funeral of Mr.Lee BEAVER.

FIRE TAKES EVERYTHING--Barnie BELK,of near Mt.Carmel,suffered a disastrous fire on Monday of last week.The dwelling,all of his household effects and about $100 worth of provisions were totally destroyed.Neighbors cared for his family with shelter,food and clothing right after the fire.

AMONG THE COLORED FOLKS--Annie DAVIS,wife of Tom DAVIS,of Melrose,died March 21st,at the age of 58.The funeral was held the following day at King’s Hill,with interment in the church cemetery.Rev.S.A.MILLER conducting.She was the mother of nine children.For 23 years,she had made her home in the Melrose vicinity and was respected by all who knew her.

> VICTIM OF INFECTION--John William Leigh POINDEXTER,41 years,prominent merchant and citizen of Mason,died at the Methodist Hospital,Memphis,March 27th.Death was caused by poison from an infected tooth and followed a three weeks illness,during which he fought valiantly to second the doctors efforts in his behalf.Funeral services were held Monday from the residence of his mother,conducted by Revs.SMITH & ADAMS.A son of Mrs.Ethel H.POINDEXTER and the late W.G.POINDEXTER,he was born in Mason March 28th,1891,the funeral services being on the anniversary of his 41st birthday.He received his education in Mason schools,remaining a resident of that place all his life.He was married to Miss Zela HERRON,also of Mason,in 1916,of which union two children survive.A consistant member of the Christian Church,he was active and interested in church and civic affairs.He is survived by his widow;a daughter,Laura Louise POINDEXTER; a son,John W.L.POINDEXTER,Jr.;two brothers,C.T.POINDEXTER,of Mason and Dr.J.D.POINDEXTER,of Newark,Ark.;his mother,Mrs.Ethel POINDEXTER,of Mason; two sisters,Mrs.J.B.MARSHALL & Miss Rose POINDEXTER,both of Mason.

WAS BURIED HERE FRIDAY--Mrs.Susan Winn KINNEY,wife of G.D.KINNEY,of Memphis,formerly of this county,died at her home last Thursday morning after an illness of two weeks.Funeral services in Maley’s Funeral Home,this city with burial in Munford Cemetery here on Friday.Besides her husband,G.D.KINNEY,of Memphis,formerly of the Bride vicinity of this county,she is survived by two sons,Alec & Harvey KINNEY,both of Memphis; two brothers,Willis & W.P.WINN,both of Cherry; two sisters,Mrs.Casper WISEMAN,of Osceola,Ark.,and Miss Willie WINN,of Memphis; one half-sister,Mrs.S.T.LEATHERWOOD,of West Point,Miss.;and one half-brother,J.H.PITT,of Little Rock,Ark.

INVALID IS BURIED IN MAYFIELD--Mrs.Rosella Albritton SIMONS,mother of Mrs.P.H.STARNES,of this city,at the latter’s home,died March 25th.She was buried at Trinity Methodist Church near Mayfield,KY.,Sunday,Rev.W.F.MAXEDON conducting services.Mrs.SIMONS was born August 31st,1857,being over 74 years of age at the time of her death.She was married in May 1881 to Luther SIMONS, who preceded her to the grave 22 years ago.About three years ago she lost her eye sight,being reconciled to her affliction and continuing of cheerful disposition.Her final illness was of short duration.Surviving her are two daughters.Mrs.STARNES,of this city and Mrs.E.L.DRISKILL,of Mayfield,KY.; four grandchildren,Floyd & Miss Susie Neal STARNES,of this city; Miss Paula Sue DRISKILL and Mrs.M.P.TINSLEY,both of Boaz,KY.;three brothers,Ed, Jack and Lon ALBRITTON of Mayfield,Ky;two sisters,Mrs.Maggie VORIES of Mayfield and Mrs.J.B.SCHOLES,of Pryorsville,KY.

LANGSTON--CAMPBELL--Miss Margaret CAMPBELL,of Tyler,Texas,daughter of  the late Mr.& Mrs.J.G.CAMPBELL,of this city,was married March 13th to Mr.Flavil LANGSTON,of Tyler.The ceremony was performed at Shreveport,LA.Mr.& Mrs.LANGSTON have both been connected with radio station KGKB of Tyler,Texas and will make their home there. Mrs.LANGSTON made her home in this city until the death of her father,when she went to Texas to make her home with an uncle,Mr.Allen CAMPBELL.

CULBREATH--TAYLOR--The marriage of Harry CULBREATH,of Memphis,son of J.E.CULBREATH,of the Tabernacle vicinity,to Miss Louevelyn TAYLOR,also of Memphis will take place this evening at the home of Mrs.Ed KLINGMAN,mother of the groom.
