A complete listing of Tennessee newspapers on microfilm at the State Library and Archives is now available on our web site. The list is arranged by the city/town of publication.

These newspaper microfilms can be sent to Tennessee libraries ONLY on interlibrary loan. Out-of-state residents can purchase individual reels of film for $20 each.

If a person knows an exact date for an event, our Research Services staff will search a specified newspaper for an article or obituary. There is a small fee for this service.
