I John Withers of the county of Sumner and State of Tennessee . . . declare this my last will and
testament.
Viz.:
1st I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine Withers my negro boy William and negro
girl Trudy together with one third part of all my household furniture and stock during her natural
life. 2ndly I will the track of land on which I now live to be sold by my Executors . . . 3rdly I give
and bequeath to Ambrose Porter put in trust for my eldest daughter Bettie Easley . . . 1/2 of land
lying in Caldwell Co. Kentucky which land I purchased of William Holland . . . to a line agreed on
between Josiah Easley and John Phillips also my will and desire is that her husband Josiah Easley
shall not have it in his power to sell . . . after the death of my daughter Bettie Easley the above
described tract of land belongs to and be divided between my grandsons equally viz. William
Easley, Wildon Easley and Albert Easley. 4thly I will and bequeath to my second daughter Nancy
Phillips . . . I release all debts done _? from her husband John Phillips. 5thly I give and bequeath
to my daughter Sally Withers a feather bed . . . 6thly I give and bequeath to my son Enoch
Withers . . . 7thly I give and bequeath to my son John Withers . . . Item Eight I give and bequeath
to
my granddaughter Patsy Withers . . . Item 9th I will and bequeath at the death of my wife
Catherine . . . my estate . . . be divided . . . equally between my daughter Sally Withers, Hugh
