In the Name of God Amen, I Lemuel Rogers of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee, being in good Health and in Sound Mind & memory but calling to mind the mortality of the Body and Certainty of Death do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following VIZ,
Item. I lend unto my beloved wife Nancy Rogers the use of all my Estate of every kind during Her natural life or Widowhood, but should my said wife marry my will and desire is that she may have a child's part of my said Estate to Her proper use and benefit.
Item. My further Will and Desire is that after the Death or Marage of my said wife Nancy Rogers
that all my Estate of Every kind be sold by my Executors and the money arriving therefrom to be
equally Divided amongst all my Children Share and Share alike, Excepting my Daughter in law
Marget Anderson and my daughter Mary Crowder & Lucinda Mickelbury and my son John
Rogers. They are not to come in for an Equal share or part until the Rest of my Children shall
receive as much property from my Estate as I have given them, which I say is one Hundred and
Twenty five Dollars Each and after the other Children has Received that much from my Estate,
then the Balance to be Eaquely Divided amongst them & Marget Andersons children to share
with them Share and Share alike to them and their Heirs for Ever, I Constitute and appoint my
beloved wife Nancy Rogers and my friend Hudson Thomsen my Executrix and Executor of this
my last will and Testament Revoking all other wills as Witness my Hand and Seal this 30th of July
1829.
