In the name of God Amen:
I Richardson Jackson of Sumner County and State of Tennessee; being at this time in a low state of health, but in my proper mind and memory, and considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of this time where I do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following
Viz.
I give unto my wife Jemimah (sp?) Ann Jackson, my house and plantation which I now live - with my farming tools household furniture and stock of all kinds belonging to me during her life except one heifer I give to my daughter Lucretia - Also, I give unto my son Washington Battle Jackson one bay mare - Also my will and desire is that at the death of my wife my property shall be equally divided among my _ (this looks like the word three but I can't be sure) youngest children viz: Polly Richardson Frances David Wilson William and Washington Battle in Testimony of this my last will and Testament I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty one.
