In the name of God Amen: I Michael Shaver of the County of Sumner and Stat of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory and _ health and calling to mind my mortality I do make this my last will and testament viz as follows
1st
I assign my soul to a gracious God who gave it in hopes of a glorious resurrection through Christ
by _

I order all my lawful debts to be paid, and my body to be decently interned at the discretion of my
Executor.
3rdly
I give and bequeath unto my wife Catherine all the goods and chattel already set off to her _ full
of _ sight of dower in my estate.
4thly
I give and bequeath unto my brother John Shaver's oldest son John all the residue of my estate
both real and personal.
5thly
I constitute and appoint my trusty and good friends David Wilson and John Wilson of said County
and State Executors of this my last will and testament in witness _ hand and seal, this eleventh day
of February 1789.
