I have this day made & executed the following as my last will & testament, hereby revoking & annulling any & all wills by me heretofore at any time made.
Item 1 I give to my son Joseph R. Simpson the place on which I now live containing one hundred & fifty acres more or less, to have & to hold to the said Joseph R. Simpson for and during his natural life & after his death the same to go to his bodily heirs.
Item 2 As to any other property I may have whether real, personal or mixed, I give the same to my children equally share & share alike.
Item 3 I appoint J. A. Trousdale Executor of this will and do not require him to give security.
The above erasures were made before I signed the will.

A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Mrs. M. J. Simpson decd, was this day produced in open court for probate when the same was duly proven by the oath of J. T. Hawkins one of the subscribing witnesses the other witness J. A. Trousdale being dead, the same was ordered recorded as said last Will and Testament of Mrs. M. J. Simpson, decd.
