Know all men by these presents that I Mary Hall, widow of Gen. Wm. Hall dec'd of Sumner & State of Tennessee, being of sound mind and disposing memory do make this my last Will and testament.
Item 1: It is my will and desire that after my death my remains be decently intered beside my dec'd husband.
Item 2: I give to my daughter, Mary B. Cassiday the following negroes now with her in Kentucky viz: Sarah about forty years old, Jesse about fifteen years old & Cornelia about thirteen years old.
Item 3: I give to my daughter Thankful J. Jenkins the negro man Tom about forty five years old which man is now with her in Kentucky.
Item 4: I give to my son William H. Hall the whole of my undivided interest (it being the one seventh part) of a tract of land upon which, my dec'd husband resided up to the time of his death, supposed to contain seven hundred acres be the same more or less and which tract of land my dec'd husband bequeathed to myself and children jointly and severally for further particulars, I refer to my husband's will as to said land giving to my son William H. Hall the whole of my undivided interest in the said tract of land.
Lastly: I do hereby appoint my son William H. Hall my Executor to carry out and execute this my last Will and testament, without requiring or wishing him to give security as Executor.
In Testimony whereof I Mary Hall, widow of William Hall dec'd do here unto subscribe my name
and affix
my seal this 14th day of March 1864. In (testiued)?? and erased before signed. (pg.60) Signed

Sumner County Court April Term 1873
The last Will and Testament of Mrs. Mary Hall dec'd was this day produced in open Court for
probate and
was duly proven by the oaths of Wm. A. Lauderdale and A.B.C. Dickerson subscribing witnesses
thereto
which is received by the court and ordered to be recorded. William H. Hall the Executor named in
the will
appeared in open court and accepted the execution of the same and no security being required by
the Will.
entered into and acknowledged his bond to the State of Tennessee in the penal sum of five
thousand
dollars conditioned as the law directs and said Wm. H. Hall was duly qualified.
