Sumner County Wills
I Margaret McMurry do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking all
former Will
heretofore at any time made.
First, It is my will that all of my debts and funeral expenses be paid out of the first moneys(sic) that may come into the hands of my Executor after my death, it is further my will that my Executor have erected over may(sic) grave a Tomb such as the one I had placed over the grave of my former husband's John Chapman died.
Secondly, it is my will that my Executor herein after appointed have power to sell my tract of land either publicly or privately and on such time as he may think best and convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers and after settling up my estate it is my will that my niece Margaret Turner Shall have five hundred dollars to be paid to her by my Executor:
Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my Brother Josiah W. Baldridge all the remainder of my estate.
Lastly, I nominate and appoint my Nephew John Woods Executor to this Will and exempt him from being required by the Court to give security for execution of the same. In Testimony whereof I have set my hand to this my last will & testament this 19th. day of May 1870.

Sumner County Court April Term 1878.
The last will and Testament of Margaret McMurry was produced in open Court for probate and
was proven
by the oaths of John L. Britton and Chas. B. Rogan subscribing witnesses thereto which was
received by the
Court and ordered to be recorded. John Woods the Executor named in said will appeared in open
Court
and accepted the execution of the same and thereupon entered into and acknowledged his bond to
the
State of Tenn. in the sum of seven thousand dollars condition as the law directs, and Said John
Woods was
duly qualified.
