Note: Will of Rev. John Parker (b. 17 Aug 1792, d. 04 Feb 1866).
I, John Parker, in the name of God Amen, do make this my last will and testament to wit,
first I give unto my beloved wife, Polly Parker, all my real and personal estate, out of which she must pay all my just debts and at the death whatever may remain to be distributed as follows to wit, five hundred dollars shall be divided between my following grand children that may be alive at her death share and share alike the children of E. H. Sanford, E. C. Stuart, N. R. Hill, and E. S. Vance, this is all I intend them to have, also ten dollars to Lizzy Parker that is all I intend her to have being the widow of my son J. M. Parker deceased the remainder of any to be divided between my following named children to wit, R. C. Parker, M. J. Hanna, M. C. Holder, H. N. Parris, and S. E. Whiteside to be distributed in view of the advances I have heretofore made them.
Lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint my wife, Polly Parker, the sole Executrix to this my last will and testament without Security.

STATE OF TENNESSEE
SUMNER COUNTY COURT, FEBRUARY TERM, 1866
The last will and testament of John Parker deceased was this day produced in Open Court for probate and was duly favored by the oaths of John A. Vaughan and I. G. Ray, subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. Polly Parker, sole Executrix named in said will, having renounced the execution of the same, it is ordered by the Court that Richard C. Parker be appointed administrator with the will annexed of John Parker deceased. Thereupon said Richard C. Parker and his Securities W. F. Holder and R. J. Crenshaw appeared in Open Court and entered into and acknowledged their bond to the State of Tennessee in the penalty of Eight Thousand dollars conditioned according to law and said Richard C. Parker was duly qualified.
