In the name of God Amen
I John Bradley of the State of Tennessee and County of Sumner being old and infirmed, this is a
plain admonition of nature - that I shall soon leave this world, being in sound mind and wishing all
my worldly affairs managed in the way I shall here direct in this my last will and Testament
My body I give to its mother earth, my spirit to its Creator when all my just debts are paid should I at that time _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ __ _ (unreadable on my copy) the balance of my estate I wish disposed of in the following manner. Should my wife Mary Bradley survive me, I give her my land and all my property of any _? during her natural life time, from so many years living with one faithfully I want her to be as happy as any little property can make her; and at her death I wish enough of my perishable property sold as will raise the sum of _? dollars for each of my children as I now name, Richard Bradley, Simpson (?) Bradley, John Bradley, Joshua Bradley, Jesse Bradley the balance to be equally divided between Polly Bradley, Nancy Spradling and David Bradley. And as my son David lives with us and _? have the Trust(?) of us in our (words crossed out here) old age. I give him my _? estate at the decease of his mother - and _? I wish him to take into her protection, and this I now declare to be my last will and testament. In witness I have _? set my hand and seal the 26th day of August 1819.
