In the name of God Amen:
I Jesse Joyner of the county of Sumner and the State
Of Tennessee being of Sound mind and memory, but kn-
owing the uncertainty of life, hath thought proper to make and
ordain this my last will and testament to dispose of the
property it hath pleased God to bless me with in the following manner
to wit I give and bequeath to my daughter Patsey Lasiter four
Negroes an Negro woman by the name of Lucy and her child that
Conas Lasiter sold. Also one by the name of Eliza and one by the name
of China I say to her and her heirs forever. Secondly I give and
bequeath to my two sons Cullin and John Joyner all my land
On Drake's Creek to be equally divided between them - likewise
I give to said Cullin the right and title to all the Negroes he
Has sold-Also I give to my said son John four Negroes
by the name of James, Grace, Darcy, and Madison. I Say
to them and their heirs forever. Third I give and bequeath to
the two sons of Dolly Harrison called by and known by
the Names of William Joyner and Robert Joyner all
of my Tract of land on Maddison's buck known and
called Whitsellis' tract to be equally divided between them agreeable
to valuation, I likewise give to Said William one Negro man
by the Name of Pompky, and Said Robert one Negro man by
the Name of Jacob. I say to then and their heirs forever.
Fourthly I give and bequeath to Nancy Atherly two
Negro girls by the name of Phillis and Nancy I say to her (note no fifth skipped)
And her heirs forever. Sixthly I give to Dicy Savely
one Nego woman Tempy - five hundred dollars that
they have in possession. Seventhly I give and bequeath
to Susan Lasiter three Negros, One Negro woman by the
Name of Liddy and Anderson and James I say to
her and her heirs forever. Eight I give and bequeath
To Sillen Crassway four negroes, one negro woman
by the name of Kate, Canndesson, Jacob and James.
I say to her and her heirs forever. Ninth I give and
bequeath to Sally Morrison One Hundred and Seventy
eight Acres of Land where I now live. Also one Negro
man Nat also all my estate not heretofore mentioned
I say to her and her heirs forever. Ten and last I
do Nominate and appoint Robert Joyner, Robert Patton and
William Joyner my Executors to this my last will and state-
ment and I do hereby dis annoul any other wills or parts
of wills this only I claim to be my last will and
testament In witness whereof I hereto set.
