Rogana Tenn. August the 5th 1896.
I, James B. Vance do make this my last Will and Testament. I want R. H. Bryson to take
charge of all of my effects, including my house and lot in Rogana my carpenters tools and
blacksmith tools and any other property that I may have at my death, and sell or rent it as he
thinks best. I want him to have me decently buried at Shiloh Church on the Scottsville pike in a
plain coffin and box, without funeral; only the buryal(sic) service of the Presbyterian Church. I
want him to take pay out of the proceeds of my sale to pay him for his trouble and any note that
he may hold against me, and any debt properly presented, and divide the remainder if any
between my two sons John David Vance and Richard Milton Vance equally.
Jas. B. Vance.
