Know all men by these present that I J. B. McGlothlin this day make this my last will and testament, revoking and annulling all others.

1st It is my will and desire that at my death, my burial expenses and all other debts that I may owe be paid out of the moneys on hand or collections that may be made from parties who will be owing my estate.

2nd It is my will and desire that my wife Margaret L. McGlothlin have the brown mare and buggy and all the household and kitchen furniture as her own to do as she sees fit with and also the corn and hay that may be on hand to feed said mare.

3rd It is my will and desire that my wife Margaret L. McGlothlin have the farm containing seventy acres during her life time.

5th It is my will and desire that my executor be empowered to collect all my outstanding notes and accounts due me or my estate, and after paying all my indebtedness, and my wife the fifty dollars in gold, that the remainder of the proceeds be divided and paid out as follows.

6th It is my will that my daughter Mary Ann Hudson be paid five dollars.

7th It is my will that my daughter Elizabeth McNeely be paid five dollars.

8th It is my will that my daughter Cynthia N. Austin be paid five dollars.

9th It is my will that my son R. E. McGlothlin heirs, Lena, Harvey be given or credited with the amount owed my estate, by their father, which is about two hundred dollars.

10th It is my will and desire that the remainder of this fund be divided equally between my daughters, Jane McGlothlin, Susan Wright, Sarah Deasy, and my son W. A. McGlothlin.

11th It is my further will and desire that my son W. A. McGlothlin be made as agent for my daughter Jane McGlothlin to hold her part of this fund, and to pay her out of this part of said fund as she may need it.

12th It is further my will that at the death of my wife Margaret L. McGlothlin that the farm of seventy acres be advertized and sold to the highest bidder on a credit of twelve months, requiring note and approved security, and when collected divide the proceeds equally between all my children, their living or living heirs representing them.

13th It is my will and desire to make and appoint my son W. A. McGlothlin my executor to perform and carry out all the purposes of this my will/

We the undersigned hereby certify that the testator J. B. McGlothlin acknowledged to us that the foregoing is his last testament, he signed the same in our presence as such and at his request we have signed our names as witnesses in his presence and in the presence of one another. Witness our hands this April 27, 1898.

A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of J. B. McGlothlin dec'd was this day produced in open Court for probate when the same was duly proven by the oaths of W. Goostree and S. Wright subscribing witnesses thereto when it was ordered filed and recorded as the last will and testament of J. B. McGlothlin dec'd.
