Will of J. B. Baker
Made January 14th 1893.
I, J. B. Baker of the County of Sumner, State of Tennessee do make & declare this to be my last
Will & Testament, to wit;
1st. After my just debts are paid I make the following disposition of my property.
2nd. I give to my son A. R. Baker in addition to the 10.7 acres of land he now lives on, 36% A. off of the home farm, and one thousand dollars.
3rd. I give to my son I. M. Baker in addition to what I have already given of 138 A. he now lives on, 15 5/6 Acres off of the home farm & one thousand dollars.
4th. I give to my son John Baker 100 acres, called the Miers farm & 53 5/6 acres adjoining off the home farm and one thousand dollars.
5th. I give to my daughter Hellen Tolbut in addition to the 127 9/10 acres I have already given, 56 acres of ridge land, bought of Thomas Love & eleven hundred dollars.
Item 6. I give to my daughter Callie Weisiger the farm known as the Green farm supposed to contain 111 acres & 42 5/6 acres off of the home farm, and one thousand dollars.
7. I give to my daughters Mollie Baker & Kittie Baker 307 5/6 acres jointly, this includes the family residence and all the houses on the same and five hundred dollars each.
8. It is my desire that none of my household or kitchen furniture be sold at public sale but divided in lots amongst all of my children in the allotment I give my family clock to Kittie & the piano to Mollie Baker with proper valuation.
9. The balance of my property left I wish sold & (pg.123) divided equally among all of my children share & share alike, also what money if any left.
10. It is my wish that my sons, Isaac, Rush and John Baker administer on my Estate.

Sumner County Court July Term July 31st 1896.
A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of John B. Baker deceased was
this day produced in open Court for probate, when by the oath of B. D. Bell it was proven that
the same was found in his Bank-box, among his valuable papers, and also by the oaths of C. B.
Cobb and Z. A. Green subscribing witnesses thereto, the same was duly proven and ordered
recorded as the last Will and Testament of said Jno. B. Baker deceased.
