I, James Austin, Sr. do make and publish this as my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all others by me at any time made.
First; I direct that my funeral expences and all my debts, be paid as soon after my death as possible, out of any moneys that I may die possessed of, or may first come into the hands of my executor.
Secondly; I give and bequeath to my wife Margaret Austin all of my property both real and personal during her natural lifetime and at her death to be equally divided between my too(sic) sones(sic) W. W. & H. D. Austin.
Lastly; I do hereby nominate and appoint J. T. Austin my executor.
In witness whereof I do to this, my Will, set my hand, this the twenty third [pg 256] day of November, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty one.

The last Will and Testament of James Austin deceased was this day produced in open Court for probate
and was duly proven by the oaths of W. J. Fry, and W. G. Sircy subscribing witnesses thereto which was
received by the Court and ordered to be recorded.
J. T. Austin the Executor named in the Will appeared in open Court and accepted the execution of the same . Thereupon came said J. T. Austin together with his sureties: J. F. Appling and R. T. Searcy, and entered into and acknowledged their bond to the State of Tennessee in the penal sum of twenty five hundred dollars conditioned as the law requires, and said J. T. Austin as Executor aforesaid was duly qualified and is ordered that letters of Executorship issue to him.
