Note: This is the son of Rev. Hubbard Saunders & his wife Chloe Russell Saunders.
WILL of Hubbard Henry Saunders
I Hubbard H. Saunders of the County of Sumner, State of Tennessee being in full possession of all
my mentle faculties, make and ordain this as my last will & testament.
1st - I desires that all my just debts be paid.
2nd - I give my wife Elizabeth M. Saunders all my estate, real and personal, all assets of all and
every kind, and all values whether in possessions as expectancy in short my entire property to
have and to hold for her own use so long as she remains a widow. It is also my wish with that said
Elizabeth my wife give to my children, as they severally attain majority or marry. Such portion of
my estate herein devies as she may think she can conviently spare. And that she keep an accurate
account of the portions so distributed to each of my children to the end, that after her death, each
child may at final settlement be an equal share of this estate and as my son William has already
received five hundred dollars, he must account for that at the final division of the estate.
3rd - In case my wife should again marry. I give to her my dewelling house and one hundred and
fifty acres of land adjoining it. It's to be laid off as to support her with usable and pasture land.
wood and water. I also give to her a childs portion of my personal property to be ascertained by
dividing the amount of personal property herein devised of the number of children alive at the
time of her second marriage.
4th - I appoint said Elizabeth M. Saunders executor of this Will without bond and delugate to her
the powers to manage controll, sell or exchange all the estate as she may choose with in?ing and
any liability to Counts or indivied/ individual. She hereby gaining all powers and privalizes over
the estate which I may possess. Signed this Jan. 4th, 1873 H.H. Saunders

Sumner County Court Nov. Term 1879 The last will and testament of H.H. Saunders was this day
produced in open Court for probate and duly proven by the oath of C.W. Callender and Jos
Edward subscriby witnesses there to which was acceissrd by the Court and ordered to be
recorded.
Elizabeth M. Saunders the executrix named in the will appeared in open Court and eccepted the
execution of the same. No bond being required under the will, she was duly qualefyed.
