Sumner County Tennessee In the name of God Amen: I acknowledge myself going the way of all
_? _?.; and acknowledge this to be my last will and testament. First I will and bequeath to my
loving wife Elizabeth my black mare and hogs cows and sheep for her life time house and
furniture and farming utensils to have (1 or 2 sentences are unreadable on my copy) . . . more in
hand to be kept for her support and to hold from the upper line of my land to the outside _? fence
to the barn for her support for her life. My beloved son Josiah Henson I will and bequeath from
my lower line to a _? Walnut near the cross fence above though not to have possession between
the cross fence until her death. My beloved son Thomas Henson I will and bequeath from my
upper line to the said Walnut above mentioned though not to hold till her death. At her death
what prosperity there is left is to be equally divided amoungest the children. I choose John &
Thomas Henson to settle my affairs.
