I Henry Pitt, being of sound and perfect mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, in manner and form following;

First, I give and bequeath to my loving Wife one feather Bed and furniture choice of the horses and one hundred Dollars to come out of the proceeds of the sail of my property.

Second, my will and desire is that all of my property be sold both lands and perishable property by my Executor on a credit of twelve months, and that my Negro Tom is to be valued by three disinterested persons to be chosen by my executor and then the said Boy tom to have the liberty of choosing his master at said valuation on twelve months credit, and the money arising from the sail of all my property after paying what I have first disposed of to be equally divided with my children herein named (Elizabeth Harder, John Pitt, the heirs of Stephen Pitt, Catherine Jobe, Robert Pitt, William Pitt, Susan Dorris, Polly Rogers, James Pitt, Joseph Pitt.

I hereby appoint Josiah Walton my sole executor of this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made In writing whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 16th day of June 1840.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Henry Pitt, to be his last will and testament in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the executor.

The last will and Testament of Henry Pitt decd was this day produced in Open Court for probate and was duly proved by the oath of Milton H. Brigance and John Busby subscribing estate and ordered to be recorded.
