I George Cage of Sumner County state of Tennessee being of sound mind and dispossing memory do ordain and establish this as my last will and testament to wit: I do hereby will to my wife Nancy the land that I and my wife Nancy bought of Miss Sallie Kirk containing ten acres more or less to hold and dispose of as she thinks best. And then after all of my just debts are paid, I desire and will to my wife Nancy the House I now live in and about seven acres of land. Attached to said House and also my personal property whatever Kind it may be. It is my wish and desire that my wife take care and provide for my son William during her natural life. Where unto I have set my hand and seal.

Sumner County Court August Term 1885.
The last Will and Testament of George Cage was this day presented in open Court for probate,
and was
duly proven by the oaths of Chas Poston and J. W. Axiom subscribing witnesses thereto which
was
received by the Court and ordered to be recorded. There upon Chas Poston the Executor named
in the Will
appeared in open Court and accepted the same Bond and security not being required of him by the
term of
said Will. The said Chas Poston as Executor aforesaid was duly qualified and the Clerk of this
Court will
issue to said Chas Poston letters testamentary.
