In the name of God Amen:
I Samuel Bugg of this County and State of Tennessee being of sound mind . . . do make my last
will and testament in manner and form following that is to say. First I give to my wife Frances
Bugg . . . all of my Negroes, the place on where I now live, which include all the land I purchased
of
William Avant? all my stock of every description, household and kitchen furniture for and during
the time of her natural life provided she remains a widow, but in case of a second marriage I give
the land above mentioned to all my sons hereafter named, equally to be enjoyed by them and their
heirs forever.
Second:
I give should my wife Frances Bugg marry again or at her death all . . . to all my children hereafter
named equally . . .
Third:
I give unto all my sons equally viz., William Bugg, Henry Wallis (or Wells?) Bugg, John Langley
Bugg, Samuel Howell Bugg, Walter Lewis Bugg . . .
Fourthly:
I give unto all my children male and female Anselium Bugg, Henry Wallis (or Wells?) Bugg,
John Langley Bugg, Samuel Howell Bugg, Walter Lewis Bugg, Ann Bugg, Joyce Bugg, Mary
Ann bugg equally all my Negroes . . .
