In the name of God Amen: I Alexander Robinson of the County of Sumner and Territory of the United States South of the River Ohio through the abundant mercy and goodness of God, though weak in body, yet of a sound and perfect understanding and memory do constitute this my last will and Testament and direct that it to be recorded as such by all

I give my body to the earth from which is was taken in full assurance of its resurrection from _ at the last day, as for my burial I desire it may be decent without pomp or State at the discretion of my _ wife, and my Executor hereafter named, as to my worldly estate I will and positively order that my wife Mary shall have the land that I now live on with the utensils belonging thereunto together with the negroes for the support of herself and the children so long as she continues a widow, and in case my said wife Mary marry another husband then to have to one Bed and furniture with the choice of the horses besides a child's part of all my moveable property.

I desire that my two thousand acres of land, laying on the north fork of Duck River, about four miles from the mouth be equally divided between my five eldest children viz. Jane, David, James, Elizabeth Ann and Mary, to be to _ heirs forever - and that the court shall choose four judicious, honest men of the County to divide said land - these men to _ it at this choice whether to divide it in four hundred acre tracts, or two hundred acre lots, which they think most just when they are brought and the said _.

I order that my youngest daughter Catherine shall have the home plantation after the rest are come of age to be her and her heirs forever, provided that the widow always have her maintenance of said place so long as she continues to live unmarried. I also desire that each and every of my children do get liberal education, provided the schooling money _ as such apart of their share of the movable property, and as soon as all the children become of age I desire that there should be an equal division made of all the stock of horses, cattle, hogs and together with the farming utensils and household furniture besides the negroes then to be equally divided also. I also constitute and appoint my wife Mary and James McCaulister and Azariah Thompson sole executors of this my last will and Testament - hoping the same will be as judiciously and faithfully put in execution by them as were I personally present could or would do. In witness whereupon I have unto set my hand and _ my seal this 28th day of July in the year of our Lord on thousand seven hundred and ninety one.
