TOWNSEND) buried: ? Nov 1874, Sumner County, TN. James died 1868/1869, Sumner County, TN. Confederate Army veteran. Jim Wiseman is a descendant of this couple.

Civil War Pvt. & Captain, G Co., 3rd Cavalry; 2nd lieutenant, K Co., 2nd (Robinson's) Infantry. Jim Wiseman furnished the location of death, and he also showed the date of marriage to Malinda S. Payne as March 27, 1854.
