To the worshipful County Court of Sumner Co. Tennessee
Your petitioner, Anny Bloodworth, a citizen of said County & state of Tennessee, begs leave to
represent unto your worships, that she is the widow of William Bloodworth, deceased, who died
in the month of January 1827 intestate, leaving the following children: Thomas, Sina, John,
William, Fereby, Timothy, Martha, & Louisa, all minors. Your
petitioner would further represent that her late husband died seized and possessed of the following
tracts of land -- to wit -- the one on which he lived at the time of his death, containing about 73
acres -- bordered by Station Camp Creek on the west, by Esqr William Cantrell on the south &
east by Isaac Franklin on the north. Also another tract of land containing about 75 acres which
the said deceased bought of John Peyton Senr on the waters of said creek, bounded by said
Peyton on the North & West, on the east by B. Bretts & on the south by said Franklin and Sion
Hunt. Your petitioner states that William Cantrell has been appointed guardian ad litem to
receive service of notice for & on behalf of the said minors above named in this case. The
premises considered may it please your worships to direct your sheriff to lay off her dower in said
land according to law & your petitioners in duty bound will ever pray.
