State of Tennessee Sumner County
Know all men by these presents that we Jacob Strator, Francis Weathered & Abraham Bledsoe of the County & State aforesaid are held & firmly bound unto Willie Blount, Governor of said State in the sum of Two Thousand five hundred dollars to be paid to the said Governor or his successors in office for the time being To the above payment well & truly to be made & done we bind ourselves our heirs, executors & administrators jointly & severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals & dated this 11th day of June Anno Domini 1810
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas Jacob Strator hath obtained license to keep ordinary at his dwelling house in said county ---- If therefore the said Jacob Strator doth constantly find & provide in his ordinary good wholesome & cleanly lodginng & diet for travellers & stabling, hay, corn, oats or pasturage as the season shall require for their horses for & during the term of one year from the date of these prsents & shall not suffer or permit any unlawful gaming in his house nor on the Sabbath day suffer or permit any person to tipple or drink any more than is necessary then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force & virtue.
