It was reported to family decendants that Hugh KINKADE was killed by a man shortly after coming to Butler Co, KY. This is reported by Bay BROWN from KY who was researching Kinkade/Kincaid's for Presley KINKADE, son of Pearly KINKADE. There are no death records for Hugh KINKADE (1860-1900) in Butler Co, KY. Hugh married in 1856 and by 1860 he disappears from the census of Butler Co, KY. His wife Luvisa (age 25) KINKADE is listed in 1860 living with Joab/Jacob/J.A. JONES and his family. Levica JONES could be related to the JONES Family. J.A or his wife Nancy whose maiden name is also Jones.J.A. and Nancy and some of their children are buried together in Threlkel Cemetery in Butler Co, KY. Levica JONES on the Butler marriage record shows Vicy Jane JONES 18 at the time she married Hugh in 1856. But four years later she is Luvisa KINKADE, 25 in the 1860 census, Butler Co, KY. So her birth year is abt 1829-1835 Butler Co, KY. Her name on Samuel Preston KINKAD'S birth record is Levica JAMES. Believed name to be Levica/Luvis.
