I John SEAWELL of Sumner County, and state of Tennessee, being weak of body but of present mind and memory by the permission of God, to make this my last will and testament in manor and form following. It is my will and desire that at the discretion of my executors they sell all of my perishable property as will be sufficient to pay for my just debts and such other of my properties as many as shall be left to remain in the possession of my wife Alsa SEAWELL together with the use of my land and plantation during her widowhood until my oldest children come of age or marry, for the purpose of raising and educationing my three children, Hardy, Polly, and Benjamin SEAWELL and that such of my property as my executors may think proper shall or may from time to time be sold for the above mentioned purposes and whenever my wife marrys or my children come of age or my property of any kind to be equally divided between them.

My wife to have a child's part _ as there maybe some of my property that cannot be divided other ways it is my will that it be sold by my Executors for twelve months credit and the moneys remaining from the sale _ to be divided as above mentioned. It is my will and desire that whenever my two sons, Hardy and Benjamin arrive to sufficient age they be bound, or put by my Executors to such _ professions as they shall think proper.

I also wish that my Negro Man George, for his encouragement to the faithful performance of his duty be allowed of what he came such pittance as my executors may think his service merits.

I hereby constitute and appoint my wife, Alsa SEAWELL and my brothers William, Benjamin, and Joseph SEAWELL my Executrix and Executors to this my last will and testament ____ where of I have set my hand and seal
