WILLIAM M. CARR, liveryman, was born in Todd County, Ky, in 1849. He is a son of Jonathan and Mary (McLin) Carr and of Irish descent. His father was born in Macon County, Tenn., in 1814, and died in Toddy County, Ky., in 1867; his mother was a native of Sumner County, Tenn., and died also in Todd County. William M. was reared on a farm where he remained until 1873, when he removed to Russellville, Ky., and engaged in the livery business. In August, 1875, he came to Bowling Green and has since -- save two years -- been in the same business, in which he has been successful. His marriage took place October, 1883, with Miss L. G. Graham, a native of this county. Mr. Carr is a Democrat, and in 1882 was elected constable of Bowling Green and served two years. Mrs. Carr is a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Carr is a prominent citizen of Bowling Green.
