THOMAS HENRY ANDERSON and NANCY HARDIN FAULIN
John Anderson and Ann Moore came from Northern Ireland, date not known. No further
information.
Couple had issue:
- James Anderson born 1731, married Elizabeth Mebane, daughter of Alexander Mebane and
Mary Tinnin.
James Anderson and Elizabeth Meband had the following children:
- William married 23 November 1791 to Betsy Jones?
- Thomas married 31 March 1809 to Elizabeth McKorkle?
- "Reverend" Alexander married Phebe Hall. The 1820 census for Orange County, North
Carolina notes Phebe as head of household. Curiously, in 1816, Phebe is located on the 1816
Early Sumner Tax Records as owning 341 acres on Elliotts Branch. Phebe is noted on the
member roster of the Shilo Presbyterian Church, Sumner Co. Tennessee. By 1835 she holds a
land patent in Jersey Co., Illinois, Jerseyville Township.
The 1830 Jerseyville Co., Illinois notes a Thomas, three boys under five and two boys aged five to
ten. Thomas does not appear on the 1840 census. Mebane Anderson is noted in 1840 and we
presume this is her son?
For more information see the Alexander Anderson contribution.
