  2. Andrew Patton (1.Robert1) born ABT 1740, Sadsbury, Chester Co., PA, married Margaret McAllister. Andrew died 1790, Orange Co., NC. Andrew was in Orange Co., NC . On October 10, 1796 Thomas Taylor made a deed to Thomas and Robert Patton, heirs of Andrew, for land that was willed to them along the Cumberland River in Sumner Co., TN. The deed was recorded in neighboring Davidson Co., TN probably be cause there was no courthouse building in Sumner Co., at that time.

  4. Robert Patton (2.Andrew2, 1.Robert1) born ABT 1760, Chester Co., PA, married Susannah. Robert died OCT 1829, Sumner Co., TN. In 1794 Robert, along with his brother Thomas, served in the Militia from Sumner Co., for the Territory South of the Ohio.
    Susannah: Susannah was first married to Daniel Benthall and had a son named Daniel Benthall.

  5. Thomas Patton (2.Andrew2, 1.Robert1) born 1761, Chester Co., PA, married Sarah. Thomas died AUG 1819, Sumner Co., TN. Thomas was in Sumner Co., TN by 1787 when he was in charge of seeing the construction of a road. In 1794 served in the Sumner Co., Militia for the Territory South of the Ohio. By 1806 he had obtained the rank of Captain in the militia.

Higgason and Sally Gentry) occupation Farmer/Magistrate, died 16 AUG 1872, Sumner Co., TN. Lucretia died ABT 1830, Sumner Co., TN.
    John: John's first wife, Lucretia, died sometime about 1830. In March of 1843 John was made guardian of Sarah E. Parsons and her brother Dixon. In December of 1845 Sarah would marry John's son James E. Higgason. The two marriages for John were found for under the name of Hickison. The Higgason name was spelled, Hickason, Hickison, Hickinson and Higgatson. John was crippled for much of his life and could do no manual labor. But he served as a Magistrate for Sumner Co., TN for many, many years.

He was living in Macon Co., TN in 1870. Lorenzo was named after a famous travaling Methodist preacher of that time, Lorenzo Dow.

M. Wilson) died BEF 1860, Sumner Co., TN. James died 12 AUG 1847, Sumner Co., TN. James died by drowing. In 1850 James and Sarah's children were living with Sarah and her mother Sarah M. and step-father John Carr. In 1860 the children living with their grandmother Sarah M., who was a widow, and their uncle John Baker Parsons.
    Sarah: Sometime after 1850 and before 1860 Sarah died.

William was a school teacher before he went to work for Missouri Pacific Railroad as a section foreman. In 1929 William was involved in an accident involving a railroad motor car on which he was riding and an automobile that collided with them in Johnston City, IL at a grade crossing. In the accident William suffered a skull fracture which lead to his early retirement. William and his family moved from Johnston City, IL to Cape Girardeau, MO in 1930 to be closer to his daughter Mabel Lorene.
