I cannot confirm the parentage of Peter Lovell with a record of his birth. However, I believe his
father to be David Lovell and his mother would be Ann Elizabeth Parnal/Parnall. There was a
Bastardry suit brought against David by Elizabeth. It evidently was settled by a marriage in Feb.
1822 by this pair. The place, Sumner County, Tenn. (Portland). The date 1822 for the birth of
Peter, The Bastardry Suit, 1822. The marriage, Feb. 1822, (probably a shotgun wedding) all
comes together as to who I feel positive is his parentage. I also believe David and (probably
Elizabeth) is the parents of Andrew J. (Jackson?) Lovell. It states on his death certificate that his
birth date is 01/29/1835 in Portland, Tenn. His father David Lovell, (mother unknown) was
information provided by Lela "Stone/Scone/Slone" to the coroner. He died in Carrollton, Greene
County, Illinois on10/17/1917, (cod/ typhoid fever). Burial on 10/19/1917 at Mt. Gilead
Cemetery, Greene County, Illinois. The name "Jackson" comes to me as his middle name coming
from my mother. There may be some document that she has seen with this as his full name?
