James B. McGlothlin (son of Joseph McGlothlin & Ann Boyle) was born 10 Feburary 1816 and died 7 August 1898. He is buried at Fountain Head Cemtery. James McGlothlin married 3 times. First on 21 January 1840 in Sumner Co. TN to Jane GRANGER/GRAINGER, 2nd on 13 December 1844 in Sumner Co. TN to Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" PAYNE, and 3rd on 9 December 1885 in Sumner Co. TN to Margaret L. WRIGHT. (see McGlothlin Family).

Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Payne (daughter of Robert Payne and Sarah Beard) was born 28 May 1818 Sumner Co. TN, died 14 Jan. 1885 Sumner Co. TN. She is buried at Fountain Head Cemetery. She married 13 December 1844 in Sumner Co. TN to James B. "Jim" MCGLOTHLIN

Children of James McGlothlin and 1st wife Jane Granger/Grainger are:

1. James Irving McGlothlin born 1841. He was killed in the Civil War.
2. Mary Ann McGlothlin born 12 May 1842, died 21 April 1900 Sumner Co. TN. Married William HUDSON.
3. Jane McGlothlin born 1844. Never married. Lived with her brother William A. McGlothlin. In 1920 she is living with his widow, in Davidson Co. TN. She died Jan 19, 1923 probably in Sumner Co. TN.

1. William Andrew "Andy" McGlothlin born 28 July 1849 Sumner Co. TN, died 28 April 1917 Sumner Co. TN. Married 1st to Lucy Jane FAULIN on 13 November 1870. Married 2nd to Phebe WHITE on 30 Nov 1879.
2. Sarah K. McGlothlin born 2 March 1852 Sumner Co. TN, died 1928 Sumner Co. TN. Married James Edward DEASY.
3. Susan C. McGlothlin born 1853 Sumner Co. TN. Married Douglas WRIGHT.
4. Eliza Ann McGlothlin born 22 Feb 1854/1856 Sumner Co. TN. Married 1st Gideon MCNEELY on 3 Oct 1919. Married 2nd James W. Hornbuckle on 9 Dec 1906.
5. Richard E. McGlothlin born 17 May 1856 Sumner Co. TN, died 19 Nov 1893 Sumner Co. TN. Married 1st Mary BUTT on 5 Sept 1878. Married 2nd Delia BRADLEY on 13 May 1892.
6. Cynthia Nichols McGlothlin born 4 December 1848 Sumner Co. TN, died 16 February 1928. Married Gustavus AUSTIN on 1 Oct 1879.
7. Martha Jane McGlothlin born 1859 Sumner Co. TN. Died before 1870.
