James married twice. James married 1st to Lucinda Beard. Lucinda Beard (daughter of David Beard and Jane Wallace) was born Mar 3, 1807 in Sumner Co. TN. She married James B. McGlothlin on Sept 30, 1831 in Sumner Co., TN. Lucinda died Aug 15, 1853. Lucinda is buried at Old Fountainhead Cemetery, Sumner Co., TN. James married 2nd to Ophra Paul. Ophra Paul was born abt. 1818. Ophra married James on Dec 18, 1854 in Sumner Co., TN.
