Isaac Lindsey
Edmund Lindsey born 1697 in Long Marsh married Elizabeth Beasley. Edmund and Elizabeth had a son, Abraham Lindsey who was born 1742 in Long Marsh, now Clarke County, VA. Abraham had a son Isaac Lindsey who was born in 1742 in Long Marsh, now Clarke County, Va. Isaac died 13 March 1812 in Sumner County, TN.
Isaac Lindsey (son of Abraham Lindsey), one of the "Lindsey's of Long Marsh". One of the original "Long Hunters" he was very familiar with the Cumberland territory long before serving as an advance scout for the Robertson party. James Harrod noted in his writings that he had met Lindsey and a hunting party at Station Camp Creek in 1765. Lindsey had been one of the original signers of the Watauga pact.
