Transcriber's Note: This was my great-great-grandmother (Beuna Myrtle Hobdy)'s mother. The obit is extremely faded and the only way we can estimate the date of her death (1895) is by the girls' ages.

Mrs. Arbie Hobdy, wife of Richard Hobdy, died Thursday night at 10 o'clock, after an illness of five weeks. Mrs. Hobdy suffered intensely for two or three weeks, but bore her suffering patiently. She leaves a husband and two little children, three and one and a half years old respectively. We truly sympathize with them, as there is no love like that of a mother, and can only hope that they may grow into lovely womanhood, ever remembering that they have a friend in Him who doeth all things well. Mrs. Hobdy was laid to rest at Par...n cemetery yesterday evening, a great throng of friends witnessing the last sad rites.
