I, Nancy DOBBINS of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee, do make and
publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all other wills by
me at any time made.
First.
I direct that my funeral expenses, and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as
possible, out of any moneys that I may die possessed of, may first come into the hands of
Executors.
Secondly.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary McMURRY my Negro girl, Priscilla Jane.
Thirdly.
I give and bequeath to my son Henry DOBBINS my negro boy, Anderson.
Fourthly.
I give and bequeath to my son Thomas C. DOBBINS my negro boy Hiram.
Fifthly.
I give and bequeath to my son Robert D. DOBBINS my negro boy, Harrison.
Sixthly.
I give and bequeath to my grandson, James A. DOBBINS, son of William N. DOBBINS
one hundred and fifty dollars.
Seventhly.
I give and bequeath to my son Samuel DOBBINS one hundred and fifty dollars.
Eightly.
Alloro my black woman Rhona, my black boy Mitchell and my black girl Basthina to be
valued by three disinterest men, and I bind my daughter Mary McMURRY, my son
Henry,
my son Thomas C. and my son, Robert D. DOBBINS to take the aforesaid negroes at
their valuation and I allow my son Robert D. DOBBINS to have my black girl, Barthena
and I bind the above named legaters to pay to Wm. N. DOBBINS and Samuel DOBBINS
their equal portions of the valuation of the above negroes.
Ninthly.
I allow my son Robert DOBBINS to have my cupboard, my folding table and ten gallon
kittle.
Tenthly.
I allow the bedding and furniture that I have given to my children to be theirs.
Lastly, I do here by nominate and appoint Henry and Robert B. DOBBINS my executors.
In witness whereof I do to this my will set my hand and seal this 2nd day of November
1847.

court for probate and was duly proved by the oath of Robert W. GUTHRIE and B. J.
