Last Will and Testament of
Carson Dobbins
In the name of God, Amen.
I, Carson Dobbins,
of Sumner County
body and mind, do
last will and testament,
void all former wills
previously.
As regards my worldly estate it has pleased God to Entrust me with. I dispose of the same as follows. I direct that all my debts and funeral expenses, be paid as soon as possible out of any money I may die posessed of, or may first come into the hands of my Executrix
Second, Item.
I direct, that all my property, both real and personal, be placed in the hands of my
beloved wife Minerva E. DOBBINS, to be used at her discretion for her own
maintainence, and for the educating and raising of my children until they all arrive at

age, as would have been done were I living. I furthermore direct, that as my children
arrive at age, the Executrix herein after named, may give to such children, such part or
parts of my estate, as she in her judgment may think best: and that a strict and just
account must be Kept of such gifts: and also, that at the time such gifts are made, they are
to be valued by two or three disinterested persons. I furthermore direct, that enough of my
property have been given to the for her own maintainan her decease, the proper children,
share and shon that may have been the event of my wife again marrying, I direct, that at
such time, she receive a child's part according to valuation by disinterested person: and
that in case of such event, the remaining property is to be equally divided among the
children when the youngest comes of age: but that in all other respects, she carries out my
intentions mentioned above in theis Second Item.
Third Item.
And I do hereby ordain and appoint the aforesaid Minerva E. DOBBINS my beloved wife,
the sole Executrix of my estate: and this, my last will and testament. In

witness thereof, I, Carson DOBBINS, have to this my last will and testament, set my hand
and seal, this Sixth day of September, in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight
Hundred and Fifty Two.

The last will and testament of Carson DOBBINS deceased was this day produced in Open
Court for probate and was proved by the oath of R. M. BOYERS, subscribing witness
there to and ordered to be recorded. Minerva E. DOBBINS the Executrix named in said
will, appeared in Open Court and accepted the execution of the same and ____ this with
her securities G. B. DOBBINS and R. T. BUSH, entered into and acknowledged his
hand to the state of Tennessee in the penalty

of Four thousand dollars, conditioned as the law directs and was duly qualified.
