Deeds concerning Philip Kizer, with a couple in Davidson Co while he was living in
Sumner Co.
Territory the United States May 13, 1795
This indenture made this eleventh day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand
seven hundred and ninety five, Between James Robertson of the County of Davidson and territory
South of the Ohio of the one part and Philip Kiser of Sumner County and territory aforesaid of
the
other part. Witnesseth that the said James Robertson for and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred dollars to me in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath and by these
presents doth grant bargain sell and convey and confirm unto the said Philip Kiser his heirs &
assigns forever, a certain tract or parcel of land containing six hundred and forty acres be the same
more or less lying and being in the County of Davidson, and on the North waters of Little
Harpeth, beginning at a boxelder and dogwood corner to a 274 acre tract on Samuel McCutchens
line runs with his line West crossing the left hand trace from Johnstons Lick at thirty chains a
branch seventy chains to a white oak. Then North ninety one chains and fifty links to an ash. Then
East seventy chains to a stake. Then South ninety one chains and fifty links to the beginning. With
all and singular the appurtenances, whatsoever to the said tract of land belonging or
appertaining. And the reversion and reversions, rents and issues, thereof and all the state, right
title
interest property claim and demand of the said land aforesaid in the said Philip Kiser his heirs & c.
of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof either in law or equity. To have and to
hold
the said Granted premises of six hundred and forty acres of land with the appurtenances. The
said James Robertson his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim and demand of all
and every person or persons whatsoever, shall and will forever defend by these presents. In
witness whereof the said James Robertson hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year
first above test Andrew Ewing and Bennett Searcy

The execution of which deed of conveyance as above recited was in Court held for the County
of Davidson April Sessions 1795. Proven to be the act and deed of the said James Robertson by
the oath of Andrew Ewing and Bennett Searcy subscribing witnesses.
