This Indenture made this the fifteenth day of February in the year of our Lord, Eighteen hundred
& one. Between Samuel Benton Harris of the state of Tennessee and County of Davidson &
Robert McCann of the state & county aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Samuel
Benton Harris for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand
& paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these
presents doth bargain sell and confirm unto the said McCann, his heirs Executors &e (?) two
hundred acres of land, lying on the waters of Trammel Creek, in the County of Sumner & State
aforesaid which may be more fully seen by having reference to the grant of No. 3233. Issued the
24th day of November 1797. Beginning in the North boundary of the original tract, beginning on
a stake Benjamin Phillips North West Corner. running West one hundred and ninety poles to a
stake. South one hundred & a half poles to a stake on Phillips' line. East one hundred and ninety
poles to a stake on Phillips' line. North to the beginning, Containing two hundred acres more or
less, To have and to hold the aforesaid tract and bargained premises to the said McCann his heirs
and assigns forever, and the said Samuel Benton Harris doths oblige himself to warrant and
forever defend said land against the claim of all persons whatsoever claiming the afsd. tract of
land and bargained premises.
In witness where of I have herewith set my hand and seal, the day and date above
written.
