This Indenture made this twelfth day of June in the year of Our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and six between James Roney, Sr. of Sumner County and State of Tennessee of the one part and Micajah House of the County and State of Tenn aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said James Roney for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged, hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain sell alien enfoeff and confirm unto the said Micajah House all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Sumner aforesaid on the waters of Drake’s Cree, of Big Barren on the East of a piece or parcel of land that Said Roney bought of Ambrose Maulden, Beginning at two post oaks, running south two degrees East one hundred and ten poles to a post oak and gum, then West forty poles and a half pole to a black gum thence North One hundred and ten poles to a Stake, thence East thirty two and a half poles to the beginning, containing twenty five acres together with all ways waters, water courses hereditaments and appurtenances to the said land appertaining, To have and to hold the said Mipage Tract or parcel of land as herein set forth and described with all and singular the premises and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Micajah House and to the proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Micajah House his heirs and assigns forever and the said James Roney for himself doth his heirs Exrs Adminin’s covenant and agree to and with the said Micajah House his heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid land and premises.
