This Indenture Made this Nineteenth day of April one thousand Eight Hundred and thirteen between James Roney of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee of the one part and Isaac Stalcup of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and forty Dollars to him the sd James Roney in hand paid by him the sd Isaac Stalcup the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have given granted enfcoff and conveyed and do by these presents encoff convey unto him the sd Isaac Stalcup all that Seal tract or parcel of land and premises situate lying and being in the sd County of Sumner on an Western fork of the West fork of Drake’s Creek of Barron River Beginning at a Double Hickory and white oak the south East corner of a Six hundred and forty acre tract granted to James Roney running North one hundred and thirty two poles to a post oak and gum then West one hundred and Seventy Eight poles to a large black oak then South one hundred and thirty two poles to a small Cherry tree in the North boundary line of John Dinning’s land then East with sd Dinning’s one hundred and seventy Eight poles to the Beginning, With all woods waters Water courses mines minerals Hereditaments and appurtenances to it belonging or in anywise appertaining, To have and to hold from him the sd James Roney and his heirs executors administrators actors and assigns and all persons or manner of persons Claiming in through or under him or them to him the sd Isaac Stalcup and his heirs executors administrator actors and assigns forever do warrant and defend in Witness Whereunto him the sd James Roney hath hereunto set his hand and fixed his Seal the day and year first above written and in presence of the Subscribing Witnesses
