I Elizabeth Turner Executrix of Steven H. Turner decd the said Steven H. Turner having heretofore on the 27th day of January 1845 sold a tract of land lying in Sumner County District No.18 containing by estimation on survey Forty seven and one half acres to Benjamin Roney for a deed which was witnessed by W. Baney and James Bankly it being a part of the tract of land sold by Benjamin Roney and James M. Roney Executors of James Roney decd and bought by Steven H. Turner at thirty three hundred and fifty five dollars on a one, two, and three Good Credit with interest from the date which the said B. Roney paid to the said Steven H. Turner the same amount per acre there being Four Hundred and Thirty acres he Gave.? I do hereby advance for and convey to Benjamin Roney and his heirs forever for the consideration heretofore mentioned and paid to Steven H. Turner decd, Bounded as follows: Beginning at Two Thornbeans on the East side of the creek, thence north 69 degrees East sixteen poles to a black oak, thence North 20 west 17 and a half poles to a hickory, thence North ten west 100 poles to a stake in Morgan's line and corner to the said Roney's, thence north 89 50 west sixty eight poles to a stake with pointers, thence 44 west 35 4/5 poles to a stake in the corner of the turn pike and line 52 poles to a stake in said pike near the creek, thence south 57 ½ East thirty poles to a persimmon on the west side of the creek thence north seventy six East 20 ½ poles to a sycamore on the west side of the Creek, thence south 46 east 28 poles to the Beginning, be the same more or less to have and to hold the same to the said Ben Roney his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said Ben Roney that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I further covenant and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said Ben Roney his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever, this the 19th day of May 1849.

Personally appeared before me John L. Bugg Clerk of the County Court of said County Majr W. Mitchell and James S. Jones subscribing witnesses to the within deed who being first sworn depose and say that they personally acquainted with Elizabeth Turner the Executrix of Stephen H. Turner decd and that she acknowledged the Execution of the same in their presence to be her act and deed upon the day it bears date for the purposes therein contained. Witness my hand at Office this 7th Sept 1852.
